FAMILY WREATH 2012 - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

We are right in the middle of the first long weekend of the summer here in Canada and we are having a blast. This long weekend is in celebration of Queen Victoria's birthday which falls on May 24th. Hence the name May 24 weekend!!!

Since it is Sunday that means it is time for another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the BIG Picture" and today's challenge is to use many photos to create one large shape.

Here is my layout....

I know I am a little off season with a Christmas layout, but I thought this layout was perfect for the challenge. I like to make a layout every year that shows everyone at that Christmas (as you can see, I am a little behind). So for 2012, I choose to make a large wreath with my Cricut and adore all of our smiling faces on Christmas ornaments.

Here are some closeups....

I added the title with black glittery alphas from Making Memories.

The papers are all from MME and the eyelets are from my stash.

Make sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the design teams creations and then be sure to link yours up so we can see your idea for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!! And enjoy the rest of the Long May 24 weekend!!!

Fun Project Life Style Cards

Happy Wednesday everyone! Tonight I would like to share with you a few Project Life Style Cards with you.

A few fun MME embellishments, Heidi Swapp epoxy title and a few doodles and voila!!!

This one has an element left over from a layout, a couple of MME chipboard pieces and some brads from my stash.

On this one I used a wide piece of washi, a MME chipboard button and a Recollections metal "Love" to finish it off.

I was inspired by the sketches from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style.

CELEBRATE - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Mother's Day out there to all the wonderful Moms in the world.

Today is time for another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the BIG Picture"  and today's challenge is to use paper strips or washi tape in a big way.

Since today is Mother's Day, I chose to create a layout about my Mom! Here is my layout....

This photo was taken last year at my Mom's 88th birthday party. My siblings and I posed for the photo with my Mom.

Here are some closeups....

I chose to use washi tape in a big way on my layout. I layered different strips of washi over a stamped background. And then I added some embellies and a title and voila...completed layout!

I cut the title using a font and my Silhouette.

Product List: AC Cardstock, Ranger Ink, various washi tapes from my stash, We R Memory Keepers enamel shapes, Fancy Pants tin pin, Bella Blvd flag, Little Yellow Bicycle tag, Echo Park enamel dots and the clips are from my stash.

Make sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the teams creations.

I want to share a little story with you.....I always show my completed layouts to my husband when I am done. He looked at this layout and then told me that I am very lucky....he is so very right about that. How lucky is a girl to have so many wonderful people in my life? Very, very lucky!!!! And especially to be able to share today with my Mom!!!

Happy Mother's Day! XOXOXO

Mason Family

The sun is shining...a great way to start a Monday morning. Today I would like to share the companion layout from yesterday.

I mirrored the layout that I shared with you yesterday. Another family shot from the wedding. Photo courtesy of Luxarte Studios.

Here are some closeups...

I changed up the design a little to make each page a little different.

I used two Silhouette cut files for the title. The family heart is a freebie from Printable Cuttable Creatable and the Mason is from Silhouette. Good to have a name that goes with a popular jar!!!

So again this goes with the Lasting Memories challenge to add twine, hemp etc.... to your layout in a Big Way.

Ross Family - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. The weather here has continued to be wet, cold and grey outside!!! Good time for scrapping. Today is Sunday, so it is time for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme for May of "All About the BIG Picture" and today's challenge is to "Use bakers twine to create a big shape on your layout".

Here is my layout....

Another wedding photo featuring my husband's side of the family. Photo courtesy of Luxarte Studios.

Here are some closeups....

I used a freebie cut file from Prinable Cuttable Creatables and then outlined it in Hemp twine. It is hard to tell in the photo, but the hemp has a twist of silver twine to add a nice glimmer to the layout. I also tied a little bow above the letter "I". I used hemp twine rather than baker's twine as outlined above.

I cut the "Ross"using a font called Wholer. I love the written style fonts.

Product List - AC Cardstock and heart clip, Carta Bella - Rustic Elegance paper and stickers, Recollections vellum, True Hemp  from Hemptique, Want 2 Scrap - Nestabling.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to see the rest of the design team's creations. Be sure to link yours up before the end of May.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!!

Smile

Good Afternoon everyone, it is another cold rainy day here. There is promise of sunshine tomorrow.

Today I would like to share a layout that I created last night when challenge sites were posting all the new sketches for the month. I saw a sketch and was instantly inspired. I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use.

Here is my layout...

Another layout featuring our Grandsons trying on their wedding outfits for the first time. Aren't they just adorable?

Here are some closeups...

A Project Life card for my title.

One of my favourite punches - the ampersand. I punched two out of the same paper and layered with pop dots for dimension.

Product List - Pink Paislee paper, Basic Grey paper and stickers, Fancy Pants - Life is Beautiful puffy stickers and the clips are from my stash.

And now for that fabulous sketch that instantly inspired me - The Memory Nest - Make It Monday No. 87
