Take A Picture - Project Life Card

Good Evening....I am back with a quick post to share.

A Project Life style card I created with photos from visiting the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. Canada's capital. The grandsons got right into taking selfies with the Parliament Buildings in the background. You gotta love it!!!

I was inspired by the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style sketch #72.

AUTUMN PUMPKIN HARVEST

It already is the last day of May...where did that month go? I am just squeaking in with on last layout to share with you for the month of May. It is another pumpkin layout to go with my last post for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges to create a layout using fruit or vegetables. Be sure to check out the challenge.

More photos from our little pumpkin harvest last Thanksgiving Weekend. The funny thing about these pumpkins is that no one planted them. The birds must have dropped the seeds in my raised beds. The boys really enjoyed watching them grow. We actually have some new ones planted this year.

Here are some closeups....

Some pumpkin clusters to go with the photos. These are stickers that I popped up with pop dots to add some dimension. A little wood veneer stem of leaves tucked in under the large pumpkin. I added some ink and marker for details.

Above and below shows a couple of journalling tags to record the story.

I created the title with a sticker strip that I cut and mounted on cardstock to make it pop out a bit more. And a wood veneer tab to add more dimension at the top of the photo.

Product List: Photo Play Paper Company background paper, Simple Stories paper, Various stickers and chipboard from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch #276 from Sketches In Thyme.

                                                 1. use 2 journal tags
                                                 2. use some foam tape or tabs to create dimension
                                                 3. include 2 or more wood veneer embellishments

FAMILY WREATH 2012 - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

We are right in the middle of the first long weekend of the summer here in Canada and we are having a blast. This long weekend is in celebration of Queen Victoria's birthday which falls on May 24th. Hence the name May 24 weekend!!!

Since it is Sunday that means it is time for another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the BIG Picture" and today's challenge is to use many photos to create one large shape.

Here is my layout....

I know I am a little off season with a Christmas layout, but I thought this layout was perfect for the challenge. I like to make a layout every year that shows everyone at that Christmas (as you can see, I am a little behind). So for 2012, I choose to make a large wreath with my Cricut and adore all of our smiling faces on Christmas ornaments.

Here are some closeups....

I added the title with black glittery alphas from Making Memories.

The papers are all from MME and the eyelets are from my stash.

Make sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the design teams creations and then be sure to link yours up so we can see your idea for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!! And enjoy the rest of the Long May 24 weekend!!!

CELEBRATE - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Mother's Day out there to all the wonderful Moms in the world.

Today is time for another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the BIG Picture"  and today's challenge is to use paper strips or washi tape in a big way.

Since today is Mother's Day, I chose to create a layout about my Mom! Here is my layout....

This photo was taken last year at my Mom's 88th birthday party. My siblings and I posed for the photo with my Mom.

Here are some closeups....

I chose to use washi tape in a big way on my layout. I layered different strips of washi over a stamped background. And then I added some embellies and a title and voila...completed layout!

I cut the title using a font and my Silhouette.

Product List: AC Cardstock, Ranger Ink, various washi tapes from my stash, We R Memory Keepers enamel shapes, Fancy Pants tin pin, Bella Blvd flag, Little Yellow Bicycle tag, Echo Park enamel dots and the clips are from my stash.

Make sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the teams creations.

I want to share a little story with you.....I always show my completed layouts to my husband when I am done. He looked at this layout and then told me that I am very lucky....he is so very right about that. How lucky is a girl to have so many wonderful people in my life? Very, very lucky!!!! And especially to be able to share today with my Mom!!!

Happy Mother's Day! XOXOXO
