Beautiful

Another snowy/rainy day here today. Spring is just 3 days away, so the weather should be improving soon. Good time to share a summertime layout with you.

We had a wonderful time last year on Canada Day visiting the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory. It was like being in the rain forest filled with butterflies.

Here are some closeups....

I layered up some different size punched butterflies (I had these previously punched out in this paper...good thing as the punch has grown wings and flown away!!!) I also added some postage type stamping randomly throughout my layout.

I cut the title using my Silhouette and a font called Alphabet Pony....it turned out beautifully...lol
Another butterfly and an arrow die cut finish off the title!!!

I typed out my journaling on my We R Memory Keeper Typecast and then strip cut it and layered it over a vellum tag adding another punched butterfly, clip, brad and Tin Pin.

Product List: Authentique - Be(You)tiful Collection, AC Cardstock, Merci Tin Pin, Recollections - Vellum, and the clip, brad & eyelet are from my stash.

I was inspired by Sketch 304 from Creative Scrappers.

I was also inspired by the challenge at  More Than Words To use the word Beautiful and Butterflies on your creation. I did both!

The journalling cards were perfect for this layout to record the attendant's names.

Product List: Teresa Collin's - Project Pink background paper & Save The Date paper, stickers & enamel dots, Freckled Fawn alpha, Pink Paislee - Artisan Elements, Thickers and the tag is from my stash.

I used the March sketch from Sketch N Scrap for my starting point. I was especially inspired by the DT members that mirrored the sketch and turned it into a double. Thanks for the inspiration Ladies!!!

Wedding Party

Happy Monday everyone...to start off the work week, I am going to share a double layout with you.

A lovely layout of the adult members of our daugher's wedding party. All the photos in this layout are courtesy of Luxarte Studios.

Here is each page closer up...

Here I added a couple of the stickers for this cluster. The top one I used pop dots to add some dimension to the layers.

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the paper and layered them over on of the stickers from the paper collection.

Product List:Teresa Collins - Collector's Edition background papers, Carta Bella - Rustic Elegance paper and stickers, Pink Paislee - Artisan Elements, Thickers - Amy Tangerine and the metal key is from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch at Let's Scrap. I used a larger photo on the right hand side, but other than that, I stayed pretty close to the sketch.

I was also inpired by the challenge at Pixels and Paper to use flowers.

DRESS SHOPPING

Good evening everyone, I have another wedding layout to share with you tonight.

This layout is from the first time out dress shopping. It was the last day of a Bridal store closeout. We did buy one of the dresses, but my daughter decided later that it was not the dress. Oh well, we had fun for our first Bridal dress shopping experience!!!

Here is each page close up...

And some closeups....

I fussy cut the So Much Beauty wreath and then clustered it with a popped up Ampersand and my favourite embellishment to create...a pin wheel that I topped with a heart button.

When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to fold the corners and add some lace as an accent. I attached it with a white safety pin.

Some organza ribbon added a nice feminine touch.

I created the dress form dress with two different die cuts, added a little stenciling to the top and then wrapped a piece of lace from my Great Aunt to create a little dress. I also tucked a hidden pocket with a journaling tag to add some private thoughts on under the little dress.

Product List: DCWV - Honey Chic stack, Heidi Swapp chipboard, lace, ribbon, heart button and pins from my stash.

I used the sketch from Stick It Down for my starting point. I loved the clusters of photos as it allowed me to use all of the photos that I took...and the corner accents.
