My Valentines - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone! It is a special one today for a little man has a birthday and is turning 7!!! But for now it is time for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are starting the March challenges just a few days early. The theme for March is "Welcome to the Oscars!"

For today's reveal the theme is "Glitter and Glam" use lots of glitter, gems etc on your layout.
Here is my layout....

As you may know my main subjects to scrap are males, so glitter and glam can be a little difficult to come up with, but I remembered I took this photo of My Valentines on Valentine's Day morning. The boys had come for a sleepover, so I had a gift for all three of my Valentines.

Here are some closeups....

The pink and white paper and the red, white and pink paper are both full of glitter, along with the Glass Slipper Thickers.

For the Blue Fern chipboard, I painted it first with Acrylic paint and then dabbed Zazz! pomegrante all over it to add some more glitter.

Product List - AnnaGriffin - Valentina Collection papers, MME - Cupid's Arrow papers, Blue Fern Studios Chipboard, Becky Higgins Chipboard, Thickers and the tag is from a piece of clothing.

I used the following sketch from The Scrappy Friend's challenges - GrandDiva's Creative Corner

and Rochelle Spears This or That Challenge - I used a chipboard frame.

and the mood board from Kelly's Photo Challenge - I was inspired by the Love and Sweethearts and overall feel of Valentines' Day

Now be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Blog to check out what the rest of the team created and create your own Glitter and Glam layout!

We are Devo! Scrapping Our Stash Monthly Blog Hop

Happy Friday everyone!!! I for one am very happy that it is Friday....it has been a long week!

It is time for the "Scrapping Our Stash Monthly Blog Hop". For this blog hop we like to dig into our stash for items that we have been hanging onto for over a year.

You should have arrived here from Christine's Blog. If you get lost along the way the entire list is at the end of this post.

For my layout, I dug into my Simple Stories stash.....

These guys are just the silliest!!! Last summer we were in Walmart and my husband spotted these plastic bowls and the trio had to try them on. As you can see the oldest grandson wasn't too sure, but the little one was into just like Papa!

Are we Men or are we Mice?....No!....We are Devo!!!! LOL!!! You will have to think back to 1980 to get this!!!

Here are some closeups......

My Simple Stories stash was perfect for these photos, with the papers, stickers and brads always coordinating. AC Cardstock, Thickers and a Fancy Pants flair pin and twine from my stash finished it off.

I used this fun The ScrapRoom Blog Be Our Guest sketch for inspiration....

The next stop on the blog hop is Wendi.

Here is the entire list:

Double Trouble - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone....time for Lasting Memories Layout Challenge Design Team Reveal.
The theme for February is the Blues!!!

Here is my layout....

Here is the inspiration photo.....

I used the sketch from Scrap The Boys as inspiration.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. The challenge is to use one full sheet of paper only, and all other pieces of paper in the layout must be from your scraps. One embellishment must be leftover from a package where you have used your favourite embellies from it already, and have not found a use for the one you choose yet. My leftover package element is the grid type paper at the top that I punched with a notebook type punch.

Product List - MME background paper, chipboard & brad, Bo Bunny papers & stickers, American Crafts ribbon, We R Memory Keepers Sew Stamper & Recollections washi.

Love You Forever & Always - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday morning everyone. We are still experience above average winter temperatures and no one is complaining!!!
Today I am going to share my latest creation for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. The theme for February is THE BLUES!

Here is the Photo/Colour Inspiration board for this weeks challenge:

What a beautiful colour combination!

Here is my layout..

My "Daughter In Law" took this lovely photo of my Son and Grandson! They are two peas in a pod!!!

Here are some closeups....

I used lots of Heidi Swapp puffy stickers and chipboard words to make up my title. One of my favourite sayings...one that I mean everytime I tell a loved one that I love them!

I layered up a piece of vellum under my others layers. Machine stitching is a perfect highlight for the vellum.

Product List: Little Yellow Bicycle - Splash background paper, Pretty Little Studio - Sand Castle collection paper and flash card, Vellum - Recollections, Simple Stories Snap tin pin, Heidi Swapp words, Echo Park splash stickers, Jillibean Soup PL card and my favourite washi from my stash.

I used the sketch from Sketch N Scrap as inspiration...

I switched things up on the sketch a bit. Instead of 3 photos, I only used one and instead I used the three squares of different papers to showcase the colour inspiration board.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the Design Teams creations and link your up before the end of the month for a chance at a wonderful prize.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Stay Crafty!!!

Happy Friday.....we have almost made it through another work week. Since it is the first Friday of February, it is time for the ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Double Sketch Design Team reveal.

And some detail shots....

I splattered green and red water colour paint on the background and added some silver stars.

Here is Laura's beautiful sketch. I flipped the sketch around to suit the chronological order of my photos.
