On The Big Stage

Today I have a really special layout to share with you.

On Thanksgiving Weekend every year our family has volunteered at our local fall fair for the past 26 years. This year while we were waiting for the Demolition Derby to begin the announcer asked for help from people in the stands to help him read off the list of people and companies that had donated money or items to the fair. And if we had someone we wanted to thank, we could do that as well.
Aiden's hand went straight up in the air. The announcer kind of ignored him looking for other volunteers. But as he didn't receive any others, he called Aiden up to help him. Aiden proceeded to read off the names (quite an amazing thing as he had just turned 9 years old). After he had read off the list he was able to then thank the person that he wanted to thank.
He said, "the person that I want to thank works really hard at this demolition derby....his name is Gerry Ross and he is my Papa"!!!!
We were so very, very proud of this little guy for such a job well done!!!!
I think the announcer should be worried for his job....I think someone will be filling his boots very soon!!!

Here are some closeups...

I added some special journalling to the back of this tag!

Product List - Carta Bella - Rough & Tumble paper, Pebbles Walnut Grove paper, Thickers & a tag and twine from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch and mood board from Let's Get Sketchy Week 1.

I was able to use a lot of the colours from the mood board and the stripes from the chairs.

Well done Aiden!!!
