2007 WLU Graduate

Today I have a quick post to share with you. This layout is from our oldest's graduation from Wilfrid Laurier University! We are so very proud of him! I used highlights of purple and gold.....WLU school colours.


I used AC cardstock for the background and lettering (that I cut using Cherish Sizzlits) and the other papers are MME Glitterstack (one of my favourites). The embellishments are Making Memories.

I used the June 15th Sketch Challenge from Paper Secrets. The challenge was to use items that spell the word GRADS. Here is the sketch....


The items I used are G-green glitter paper, R -gold Ribbon, A - arrow, D -dotted paper and S - stripped paper.

We are experiencing a heat wave in Southern Ontario....stay cool!

Rideau Canal Locks

Today I would like to share a layout I created from one of our trips to Ottawa, where our oldest son lives.

I just loved these papers and embellishments from Carta Bella that was part of my June ScrapMuch? Kit Club Kit. The red, white and blue just says boating and water!!!

This tag was actually from a pair of shorts my husband bought recently and I knew it would work well on a layout!

I used the June 1st Sketch Challenge from Paper Secrets. Here is the sketch....


And the challenge was to use items that spell the word DANCE.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Catherine & Cathy Create for June which is CCC#34: Pack Your Bags - this challenge means inspired by travel.

Funny Faces on the Porch!

I have another layout to share with you today. I used a sketch from Scrap Our Stash Challenges Sketch with Stash Challenge #15. Here is my layout...


The challenge was to use enamel dots or sequins and two different alphas. I used YNS Gumdrops (enamel dots) and Thickers and Authentique Genuine Elements Alphas. The papers I used were Kaisercraft and Bo-Bunny.

I added some doodling around the flowers.

And as a bonus for June SOS is teaming up with Child's Play Challenges with a Classic Craft Challenge of Tie Dye. I used the Bo-Bunny Zip-A-Dee Doodle paper as it reminds me of Tie Dye.

I was also inspired by The Paper Wings Production June Challenge which is to use wood veneer or chipboard. I used chipboard.

Happy 55th Birthday

Happy Birthday Girlie!

Today I would like to share a card I made for our daughter's birthday. Her birthday was actually yesterday, but the party is today, so she won't be receiving it until today.


I used Catherine & Cathy Create June challenge as inspiration. The challenge was to use anything food....easy on a birthday card...just add some cupcakes!

Little Man

I have another layout from my grandson's baby pictures to share with you today. I used another sketch from  Let's Get Sketchy for my layout. This time from June Week 2.


And here are some closeups..... 



Products used for my layout were -Papers - Little Yellow Bicycle, Recollections, MME and Simple Stories. I love how all the different brands of paper matched. Embellishments - Maya Road Camera Clip, Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon and Distress Ink, and the arrows and tickets were from my stash. I also used my AC brayer to add some dimension to the background paper.

I was also inspired by the new mood board at Frosted Designs Friday Challenge - I was inspired by all the bright summery colours.

2 OF A KIND! ScrapMuch?! Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

It's Friday, yippee!!! Which means it is time for another ScrapMuch?! Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal.

For my layout I used photos taken a couple of weeks ago of the boys after their T-Ball game. Their Dad has passed on one of his favourite things to do....carry his glove on his head! It sure brought back wonderful memories of our three children doing the same thing when they were little!

I used a fun new line from Kaisercraft. Here are some closeups...



Other products used were Ac Cardstock, Tim Holtz Tiny Tackers, Vinyl Thickers and buttons & Twine from my stash.

Cutie Pie

I have been procrastinating for a while to catch up on my grandson's baby pictures, so today I thought I would do a layout from when he was tiny!

I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy Week 3.

Here is my layout....


And here are some closeups....




I used a few MME collections to complete my layout,- The Sweetest Thing, Now and Then, Collectable & Alphabet Soup. I love how all these lines match and compliment each other. The sequins are Craft Medley.

I was inspired by Paper Issues -Mix Tape Challenge which is to use a mix of different collections on one layout.

And here is the sketch, I turned the photos on there side and put the banner to the bottom to suit my photos.....

Proud

Today I would like to share a graduation layout. I have lots of these that need to be scrapped....here is the first one.


I used Creative Memories graduation paper that I picked up at a yard sale....good find eh?
I added some die cut wings (in purple as they are one of the school's colours) and gold stars. The sequins are Craft Medley and the graduation themed brads are from my stash.

Papa's Apprentice - Stuck?! June 15th DT Reveal

Good Morning, I am back today with the June 15th Stuck?! Design Team Reveal.

For this layout I used photos taken a couple of weeks ago with our Grandsons helping Papa check the tire's air pressure on our van. Papa is a mechanic, and his little apprentices were so eager to learn.

I used paper by a Canadian company - Lucky 7 Factory; Kaisercraft embellies, Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture Effect and YNS Gumdrops and unknown washi tape.

MVP

Today I would like to share another layout I did at the crop on Saturday. I snapped these shots of my Grandson at a recent t-ball game. Aren't they adorable. I especially like how the middle one turned out from the stands with a little fuzzy overlap from the backdrop fencing!

I just love these little baseball and bat brads I purchased from the Paper Addict.

My inspiration came from the Let's Get Sketchy June Week 1.
