Good Bye Old Tree

Last summer we had to have a mature tree cut down as it was dying and we were afraid it was going to fall over with the wind. This tree was one that I had used several times to take pics of our Grandsons. I took the opportunity to have one last photo shoot with the boys and the tree. Here is a layout with a couple of those photos. Appropriately I named it Good Bye Old Tree.

And here are some closeups....

I picked up an old dictionary at a book sale to use in my scrapbooking. I used the page with tree for this layout.

I used the Let's Get Sketchy January Week 2 sketch for inspiration.
I distressed my papers and embellies (which was difficult for me...lol!) to submit
to Two Scrapbook Friends January Crafty Challenge which is distressing.

Here is the sketch.....

Supplies used Papers & Embellishments - October Afternoon - Sasparilla 8X8 Paper pad;
Lettering - Authentique and Thickers; Metal Key and Owl - Momenta

My Spidey Senses are Tingling! - Let's Get Sketchy

Today I would like to share a layout that I created with the Let's Get Sketchy January Week 1 Sketch.
I used a photo that was taken last fall for Halloween. Our Grandson decided to be Spiderman and he was absolutely adorable in his costume. We had a little photo shoot outside at their apartment a couple of days before Halloween as we wouldn't have the chance to see them for Trick or Treating. His Dad decided that Spidey should climb the wall. I took the shot just as he let go for a second and got the perfect photo! At no time was our little Spidey in danger!

Here is my layout......

And some closeup shots....

And here is the LGS sketch......

Supplies - AC Cardstock, My Mind's Eye - Find Your Wings & Fly Paper & Stickers; Lettering - Thickers & Studio Calico; Spiders & Web - The Paper Studio
